These are seeds for the dwarf lupin Lupinus polyphyllus 'Lupin Gallery Red', which could pass for mint chutney Nerds candy. (The color made them very easy to find when they *cough* dropped on the floor in the course of my trying to get this photo taken.)
Newly blooming:
Narcissus 'Ice Follies', 'Las Vegas', 'Jenny', and 'Hawera'
Various self-sown pansies
Scilla siberica (slipped my mind!, so I've updated)
Bloomed and done within the past ten days: Iris reticulata 'Cantab', 'Harmony' and 'Pixie'
Perhaps Jessamyn will follow in her grandfather's footsteps, and learn to use the camera that is out of your league. Do you think the seeds have some kind of anti-fungal coating on them, or an inoculant? (Lupines are legumes, and I'm guessing could also benefit from inoculant.) The lupine seeds I have seen were dark brown or black.

Jessamyn is very talented in photography (and has been from an early age)--her eye for composition is amazing. I should (and I think I will) draft her for more garden photos on the blog.
I've never seen lupin seeds this color, either. The seeds are from Plants of Distinction (UK), but the packet doesn't make any mention of inoculant or other coating. An intriguing mystery!
