True confessions: I'm not a Pink Floyd fan, nor a Pink Anderson fan, nor a Floyd Council fan. But I am a fan of this amaryllis: 'Pink Floyd', bred by Herbert medalist Fred Meyer. The flower is smaller and more delicate than the usual amaryllis, colored a deep pink, perfectly complementing the chartreuse eye. Its fragrance is subtle and unusual: a combination of wheat grass and...Froot Loops.
Where did you get it from? I think you might have said in a different post, but I can't find it now.

This was a McClure & Zimmerman bulb that I picked up at the Jung garden center (the local retail outlet, which is not too far from here) on sale in December (McC&Z and Jung being affiliated). I had no idea what it would look like, but my husband (unlike me) actually IS a Pink Floyd fan, so the name was the draw...funny how it all worked out.

I just bought one myself at a local garden center. I can't wait to see it in bloom!
