Wowee. This dahlia (Dahlia 'Pink Floyd') turned out to be even lovelier than I'd imagined.
And the Bishop of Llandaff should be right proud of this representative of 'Bishop's Children'. It appears that at least one chewing beetle agrees that it's downright scrumptious.
Although I haven't given myself over to full possession by the dahlia demon (...yet...), I've made sure that at least one dahlia will be in bloom for me year round, in my blue Beetle's bud vase.
How could you not -- forgetting the trouble to grow, plant and dig them up -- not love dahlias? Great shots. I'm envious.

Thank you, Don...I must admit that they seem to be coaxing me into another plant romance!

I love the picture of the dahlia demon. It looks like there are rays of sunshine coming through it. If at all possible I would love to use it for my website and business cards/stationary.
Thanks :)
